Cap Spartel
The lighthouse where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.
Cap Spartel is the headland about 14 km west of Tangier, at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar.
Its lighthouse dates from 1864. From the viewpoint you look over the place where the Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet.
Come in the late afternoon and combine it with the Hercules Caves, a few minutes further along the coast.
