Good buys include leather slippers, woven blankets from the Rif, ceramics, spices, argan products and lanterns.
In the souks, prices are usually negotiated. Smile, offer less than the first price and meet somewhere in the middle. If the price does not suit you, thank the seller and move on.
Fixed-price craft shops exist too and are useful for comparing.
