Tanger Med port guide
Arriving by ferry at the big port east of the city.
Tanger Med is the large port on the strait, roughly 45 km east of Tangier. Many ferries from Algeciras arrive here.
It is not in the city: allow about 45 minutes by road to the centre. A booked transfer is the most comfortable option, especially with luggage or children.
Check on your ticket which port you arrive at. Tanger Ville and Tanger Med are two different places.
