Asilah is a small fortified town on the Atlantic, about 45 km south of Tangier and under an hour by road.
Walk the ramparts above the ocean and look for the murals painted on the white walls of the medina.
It is the most relaxed day trip from Tangier: easy to walk, good for a seafood lunch and back in time for sunset.
