Tangier to Chefchaouen
How to reach the blue town and what to do there.
Chefchaouen sits in the Rif mountains, roughly 110 km from Tangier, about two to two and a half hours by road.
A private driver or an organised day trip is the simplest way. Leave early so you have time to walk the blue lanes, the main square and the path up to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint.
Bring comfortable shoes and a layer: the town is higher and cooler than the coast.
